The Construction of Senior Citizen Center started when the pandemic hit the country in the first quarter of 2020. The 50-bed capacity structure will serve as an Isolation facility to suspected covid patients and asymptomatic confirmed patients.

The newly-inaugurated 204-square meter building of DSWD and Senior Citizen Center is now fully operational as the offices of the MSWDO, PWD, and Senior Citizen transferred in the second quarter of 2020.

Thru the grant from the Environmental Management Bureau, additional funds were used to construct the extension of the Material Recovery Facility located at Brgy. Tabuan, Arayat,Pampanga.

DESILTING/DE-CLOGGING OF CREEKS

During rainy season, creeks are clogged due to the denser growth of water hyacinth which impedes the flow of water. In order to resolve the problem, the Local Government of Arayat has allotted budget to rehabilitate the creeks and prevent flooding among the barangays near the area.

The Construction of Drainage Canal project was received as an award from the Department of Interior and Local Government for winning the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) Program. It was given as an incentive  by passing the Seal of Good  Local Governance (SGLG) in 2019.The 160 l.m. canal project is located in Brgy.Plazang Luma and was certified complete last August 12,2020.

The project received the award of BEST PERFORMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT  in Pampanga on the implementation of the FY 2019 Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).

As part of the development in the Central Terminal, ng LGU implemented the project of Construction of Drainage Canal from the support fund received by Arayat from the Provincial Government of Pampanga amounting to 5,000,000.

This project will be helpful for the public transport like jeepneys and tricycles to eradicate the traffic congestion in the area of Arayat Public Market.The goal of this terminal development is to provide the community  a better access of the public transportation system.When the Department of Interior and Local Government launched the project Road Clearing, the LGU has designate the central terminal to be a centralized location for public transport vehicles like jeepneys,bus and and tricycles.

In order to provide additional access to the public, the Municipality has implemented road projects to various barangays as follows:

• 264m -Brgy. Plazang Luma
• 150m-Brgy.Tabuan
• 170m- Brgy.Camba

The 767-meter road was completed in 2020 and has complied all the necessary requirements of the DILG in terms of Physical and Financial accomplishments. The said project was funded by the DILG-Assistance to Municipalities (AM 2020) and will benefit the three barangays; Batasan, Suclayin and Camba.
